Check Register Performance Slow

ReportReport
Posted on by 372

We have a site that just upgraded to GP18.3, and we've noticed that their check register now runs very slowly.  This occurs regardless whether running for a broad date range or selecting a specific check register for a single date.  The report eventually runs, but it takes 4 to 5 minutes give or take.  This report ran almost immediately in their prior GP2015 R2 system.  Note, this is a standard report with no customizations.

Is there any known issue with the report or underlying index.  Please advise.  Thank you.

There's two workarounds I can think of:

    1) Use SSRS for the check register report. You'd be able to get all of the information from the BankTransactions view in your company database.

    2) Use SmartList instead. Under Financial > Bank Transactions.

Try specifying the date before you select the checkbook.
