I want to create D365 (Online) reports in Visual Studio 2019. I have installed the SQL Server Data Tools and also create a project for report but in Data Source I do not see the option to connect to CRM Online.I have setup this environment on a machine which is running on Windows Server 2016 Datacenter.
Hi unaseerb,
I believe this is a result of version differences.
We must install SQL Server Data Tools 2015 and then install Dynamics 365 Report Authoring Extension in order to create reports in SQL Server Data Tools 2015.
Visual Studio is not necessary for creating SSRS, but if we want to use it, we have to install the 2015 version of Visual Studio instead of 2019.
Hi Hao
There is one more issue when I try to install the "Report Authoring Extension" I am getting the following error.
Hi reboot,
Please restart your computer before installing the "Report Authoring Extension".
I did multiple time. Even tried to install it on different devices still no luck.
Please try solutions in
