Avoid creation of entity if some condition is not met

Posted on by 814

Hi there,

When Incident type get created on work order, service tasks get populated by default. I want to check some condition and if that condition is not met i want to avoid creation of Service task. Is it possible? Please help.

Thank you

Or rather than using Incident Types you could manually create the Service Tasks in code based on your conditions. It would be a little more complicated but it should acheive your requirement

    Hi Ravi,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to stop it from being created as that is being pulled using OOTB logic. The efficient solution to this is what shared by Thomas above i.e. to have a workflow or flow to clear the value once its populated. This why you will not be breaking the OOTB configuration.

    Regards,

    Rakesh

You can create a Workflow or Flow on create of Work Order Service Task then add your condition and either delete or deactivate the serivce task
