Hi AX Community,
I have a form in which there is a field(Say F1). The field F1 should be available to a role R1 in such a way that F1 value can be changed only by user with Role R1.
Rest of the user with roles other than R1 should have access to only view this field on form but not make any changes.
Kindly guide me on how we can achieve this.
Environment: AX 2012

Yes, right(but there might be some, so I am not touching those fields). There are several fields in the form F1.
The users with the role R1 should be able to edit the field F1 and others shouldn't be able to.

Should the entire form be read only for all users or is all data editable except for this field depending on the role?
Since I am new, could you kindly guide me through the steps on how we implement the entire process like what we should start with?
Also how to give write access to R1 role and read-only access to all the other roles.
Ideally you may have two security roles
1) R1_Readonly
2) R2_Write
From this point, you can override permissions for F1 (Field) on any of the roles as per need.
