Move license plate with mobile device from one warehouse to another

Hi,

I have read this post but now sure if this is the same requirement I am looking for. We basically want to scan a licenseplate in warehouse A and 'walk' with the goods on that license plate to another warehouse B and drop the items there.

I was thinking of:

1. Create LP in warehouse A and add various items on it;

2. Then pick the LP and walk with the scanner to warehouse B and there change warehouse to B;

3. Do License Plate receiving in B and the items are there. Then walk back to warehouse A.

The culprit might be that in the time at step 2 there is no 'work'/ 'registration' actually doing the transition from A to B. Making a transfer order for every item or through AX client is a lot of work. Therefor we are looking for a practical way on the 'floor' with the scanner only.

There is no way (disclaimer! - that I know of) to move a LP (containing multiple items) between warehouses in a really simple fashion. The AX/WHS way is to use a Transfer order (which means picking and receiving it).

It is possible to move a single item at a time using 'Warehouse transfer' on the hand helds, which is great for LPs containing a single item, but not so good for LPs containing multiple items.

I am not sure which update made this option available, but the option "warehouse transfer" is available in the mobile device menu set-up

the selectable warehouse are shown with help of the settings on the mobile device users.

Only advanced warehouses can be added to the user
