View recent changed Accounts/Contacts

I'm wanting to view/downloading recent Account/Contact activity i.e. accounts where an address has been changed, recently added contacts, contacts where the email address has been changed ect....

I have in image in my mind that if it can be done there would be buttons or a date range to sort by?

You can use Audit history option.

Would suggest you to create Report, it can be downloadable and can filter as well based on your criteria.
