you can use SOAP Web Services since NAV2009, Odata Web Services since NAV 2013.
"OData web services are a new addition to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013, complementing the SOAP web services that have been available since Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009."

What page have you exposed as webservice? you need to expose Page 42 "Sales order" as webservice.
