Traceability on actions done on purchase orders

Hello,

We work with different users and some times they are modified the same purchase orders. Is there any possibility to trace who has done what on the purchase order? A follow up on what have done each person on the Purchase order and when?

Thanks for your support! :-)

There are 3rd party products like Fastpath and Rockton Auditor which offer this functionality.

Other option is to write a customization in Dexterity or a SQL table trigger on the table(s) you want to audit. Both solutions involve the creation of 2 new tables for storing the purchase order header and detail changes.

Thanks the feedback, so the answer it is basically the system does not do it itself. But we can get the functionality from 3rd parties.

    Hello there,

Allow me to add my piece of information as it might be of an importance to you in this specific concern,

Dynamics GP provides "Activity tracking" which is considered as an option for your case. Keep in mind that activating that will include all the master files; items, customers, vendors ...etc. This in turn imply high load on the server to process and log accordingly. Here is a good reference for Dynamics GP Activity Tracking

Another option is to consider what's called CDC as a database solution for tracking specific tables changes, here is an article on how to consider Audit Requirements for Dynamics GP- CDC

Please let us know if you have any further inquiries,
