In Released product, we would like to bulk update the price and price unit under manage cost tab.

I try update using DMF, but DMF change the price and price unit in the purchase tab instead.

Can we update it using excel add-in ?? Is this field stored in many table ??

    Hi Dsin,

The base prices for purchase, cost and sales are in the same table, with 3 records per released product. The Module type field specifies if it is the inventory (cost) price or another.

I don't know if you used a standard DIXF entity or an own customized. Check if you can manage to map to the correct field or set the module type to Invent.

Actually it is DMF ( Data migration framework ) from microsoft, it contains that field and work properly when import first time.

However, we are not be able to update the manage cost price and manage cost price unit.

The DMF updates the purchase price instead.

    Hi Dsin,

Data Import/Export Framwork is the new name for this module. Can you specify which version you are exactly using? There used to be two beta versions prior to AX2012R2 with CU7. Are you using one of these?

The table is easy to update with Excel add-in if needed.

The table you want to update is a bit wierd. Normally we have 1:1,1:n or n:1 relations. InventTableModule has a 3:1 relationship to the inventTable...  (purch, invent, sales)

So remember to update the correct type. Good luck.

    Hi dsin,

1.0.0.8 is one of the beta versions. I can't verify if all mappings are correct as I don't have that version available in a current environment. So you can try to use Excel add in if this beta is not working correctly for your situation.

You can also try to look at the target entity and verify if the mappings are correct for DMF.
