Hi,
After copying number sequences into new legal entities using the copy legal entity option, I have noticed that the number sequence is the same, unlike when we create number sequence from the wizard it increments the number sequence, son in the below example it would be Gene_200.
Would this create any issues, just double checking.
Thanks.
Hi Hossam,
It will not have any impact. The key for the number sequences to be used per legal entity is the number sequence code including the scope (e.g. which company). At one company, we also had a one on one copy for over 1000 legal entities. This was not having any side effect, apart from the number sequence list page where there was no clear distinction. In your screenshot, you showed a different prefix per number sequence which is indicating the company, I guess.
When you want, you can rename the records. Usually, You can also export the number sequences from a source company. Then make some adjustments and import back in the new target company.
Thanks
Could you tell me how did you do to copy number sequences into new legal entities using the copy legal entity option? Could you please give a screenshot ?
Hi Jacky,
Kindly find below the screen shot. However on production I have used the wizard since I have only one legal entity.
Thanks for your reply. I understood. You are using the “Copy into legal entity” functionality.
Thank you
