Upgrade Toolkit

Hey guys

I am at that point of the upgrade to 2013 R2, where I have to run Upgrade - New Version.

When I click on "Transfer Data", I'll get the following error:

Does this mean, my license can not do this upgrade? I have a partner and developer license (600 NAV SPA/MPN Partner Module, 7300 Solution Developer). Do I need the Country Code License from my local country or is W1 enough? The license is W1, the DB is CH..

Cheers

Raphi

    sorry, the error message is:

"You do not have the following permissions on CodeUnit Upgrade New CF Version: Execute".

I upgrade it from 2009 R2. Before it was a NAV 5.0 SP1 Version (the upgrade to 2009 was successful).

Have you a check, whether your developer license uploaded to the server or not?

What is the object ID of Codeunit Upgrade New CF Version?

Is it standard or any Add-on object?

    Hello

It is the code unit 179602, I think it is a local object.

My user is SUPER user and has sysadmin permissions on the database server.

Also I tried to add the 5410 and 5420 permissions to a new role, but I cannot see the Import and Export function in General -> Tasks. I have to Upgrade to the newest version first..

And yes, the license is in the DB. I can see it in the Client -> License Information.

Please check again whether 179602 is a localization object or Addon object.

You have to Contact the Addon Partner to give you the permissions

I respectively my colleague downloaded the upgrade toolkit from the msdn website. It will be imported with the upgrade toolkit -> Local Objects (Upgrade601701.CH.2.fob).

    hi,

why did you add that file link? i tested it and it goes at the end to a file sharing page (with ads) and a game page, the resulting file is an exe file, which proably can destroy everyones computer (you don't know what the file sharing page adds to your file).

if you really want to share a file, then only as zip file. if you want others to view the contents of your nav objects, please export them as text file(s), not as fob file(s).

did you ask your colleagues, who the vendor of the CU 179602 is? it's not part of nav standard.
