Hi,

I need to import Attachment notes for user info through DMF. The attachment notes are stored in Docu Ref table but in this table some fields are RecId and TableID fields which are not creatable and editable. This table contain standard entity which only allows to read. When I tried by creating new Entity for this table it does not allow me to insert the record due to that non insertable fields. Is there any possible way to achieve it...

Can someone guide me on this.

Thanks and Regards,

    Hi,

To import attachment notes through DMF, you can follow these steps:

    1. Create a new Entity for the DocuRef table in the Data Management workspace.
    2. In the entity structure, add all the necessary fields that you want to import, except for the non-insertable fields like RecId and TableId.
    3. Create a new data project in the Data Management workspace.
    4. In the data project, add the newly created entity and map the fields from your source file to the corresponding fields in the entity.
    5. Run the data project to import the attachment notes.
    Best regards,
    Kevin

    Hi Rubalingam,

Can you clarify if you are using Dynamics 365 F&O or Dynamics AX 2012? I can't remember that there was a standard entity for the DocuRef table on AX 2012. However, I might be wrong as I don't have an AX 2012 environment available to check the details.
