Hi all

I would like to know cache file of AX 2012.

These cache files are created according to user, but sometimes  they are the cause of client crash. so we need to delete those files.

My question are these cache files deleted automatically  when  some times is passed or are they existed forever?

What is the right handling of cache files. Are these files needed to deleted regularly?

    Hi Pooh,

    When there are application changes, these files will be updated automatically. However, when there are changes in a system when users are still working, there might be a cause that AX thinks the file from the user is the latest one and then indeed can have corrupt data. To prevent issues, always ensure users are not working in the system and use model store deployment options instead of applying xpo updates as much as possible.

    These files are caching, so usually don't delete them as it will have a performance penalty for the users.

    They are not deleted automatically.

    You could delete them automatically after every code deployment, by developing some script.
