LCS New Project - no options for Migrate, create solution and learn

Hi guys,

Why in my LCS, when create New Project, there is no option for "Migrate, create solutions and learn" ?

What is the different ?

Please verify that you have the migration, create solution, and study project methodologies under Manage methodologies.

Hi ShaqAX,

Like product names, Microsoft is sometimes also updating other related topics, like methodology names. I think the option 'Migrate and Create Dynamics 365 for Operations solutions' would be similar to 'Migrate, create solutions and learn'

Hi Andre,

Noted.

But still it doesn't appear anywhere when I click New Project.

Based on the screen shot I took, after select Finance & Operations, it will go to this selection :

If I only want to learn about F&O Development and everything related to that, can I choose Prospective Sales, then ? I'm not sure I can choose Implementation since this learning obviously will not go to Production.

This is from Downloadable VHD, btw.

Hi ShaqAX,

To be able to download or deploy a development VM and use it for learning, the purpose selection is not really important.

Oo but if I choose Prospective Sales, there is no Environment I could deploy.

That's leave me with Implementation Project only then.

Btw, I need this for learning Dev and RSAT, if my understand correctly for RSAT, shouldn't we need to have LCS project then connect it do DevOps ? can I use the Project created for "Prospective Sales" but no environment ? and use environment inside the Downloadable VHD instead.

Hi ShaqAX,

I don't know the answer to your question as I didn't test all different types of projects. You can try it yourself and verify what would work or not.
