Where is this portal content coming from/where to edit it?

Hi I recently setup a customer self service portal.

I already read some documentation and start to understand how liquid and the content snippets work together.

However I still do not know where to find/edit certaint content. For example on the Default Search page there is  a title "explore Contoso" but I am not able to find a content snippet that contains this text, nor is this text in the copy of the page. I was not able to find either "Header/Search/Label" or "Search:DefaultText" in the content snippets, so where is this text coming from?

How to find this content and where can you edit it? I have posted the template and the content which I am trying to edit below:

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Joshua,

In your second posted screenshot, is "webvorlage" web template?

If so, actually you're editing Search template, while the content that you circled should be Home/Title,

this content snippet is in Home web template.

If I change Value field of the content snippet,

then the title in home page will also changes.

p.s: I set section element with red border(by adding a css rule) to make sure the element is what I want to change.

Where there is a default - if the snippet does not exist it will use the default - but those defaults are generally sit on the server side (where we don't have access to - you did with adx on-premise).

If the snippet key word does not exist, create it yourself in CRM, or if you are on the Portal and can see the content snippet then edit it on the portal front-end and it will create it.

I think the Title is what you may be looking for, from memory the Label is the initial text in the search input.

RE: Where is this portal content coming from/where to edit it?

    Hi

cloflyMao No it is not the home title, because I am on the search page, the home title I was also able to find & change via snippet, but not the title of the search page.

But I guess if I understand correctly LA explained that some content like the default value of the search title/header is nowhere visible/to be found. If you want to change such a value you need to create a new content snippet, instead of editing an existing one. I was just searching for the text "explore contoso" in the backend so that I would be sure what I am chaning is the right value.

I editied the part in the front end and added some text and as you said it created the new content snippet: search/title for me, thanks for the explanation.

One more question, how and where is the correct place to apply some css to this title? Because I see now class/id assigned to the search title and content snippets do not have the custom css field only copy content of pages. Thanks for a hint.

    Hi Joshua,

    Sorry for my misunderstanding.

You can add css in two ways:

    1. Change your content snippet to HTML type, and add an inline style attribute.

    pastedimage1584518599835v2.png

    2. You can insert a style tag directly in your web template.
