Payment Schedules and Terms of payment

Hi all,

In D365FO I would like to split an invoice in 2 installments (1st 30% after 10 days ; 2nd 70% after 20 days).

This requirement should be possible with a payment schedule and terms of payment.

When I post the invoice journal with these payment terms and the schedule, D365FO do not split the different due dates for this invoice in settle open Transaction form. What I have to do is to mark this transaction and apply the payment schedule (after this the invoice will be divided in my different installments) :

Is there a way that D365FO automatically distribute the invoice amount with posting the invoice?

Thanks a lot!

RE: Payment Schedules and Terms of payment

    Hello DynAX84,

Do you know if we can change these payment schedule fields after the free text invoice is posted?

    Mattgou,

    thank you!

You mean invoices with purchase order reference!? Yes, there it is possible to use it. But there is no use for me. I need it for an invoice journal.

    It is a pity!

    Hi DynAX84,

If you use invoice journal, the payment schedule in vendor master will not work. Because no "payment schedule" field in journal.

If you use vendor invoice, this feature will work well.

    Please have a look.

    Mattguo,

there is no missunderstanding. I do not want to split the invoice into 2 documents; I just want to split the due date of one invoice and this is possible with the payment schedule! The only problem is that I have to do this manually in the settle open Transaction form (first picture of my post) . The system do not take payment schedule stored in the vendor master when I post the invoice. And this is my question if it is possible that the system can do this automatically.

With Accounts receivables it works with a free text invoice automatically.

    Hi DynAX84,

I think you have a misunderstanding about invoice and payment, invoice is a complete document and cannot be split into two documents/lines, payment is your business schedule, you can split invoice into two payment schedule, not to split invoice into two documents/lines.

You can check "payment schedule" on PO head to achieve your requirement, this schedule will distribute the payment amount automatically when you create a invoice.

There are two lines of payment for you to select when you create payment proposal.
