    Hi SKumar,

Till CRM 2011 version, two tables were created in the backend for every entity i.e. Base to store OOB fields and Extension to store custom fields. And from 2013, only one table creates in the backend. In short, only one table was created in the backend.

For more information refer to the below forum link:

On sharing the record, we can provide read, write permission to a new user or team on that record, but the owner of the record remains the same.

On Assigning the record, the Ownership of the records will be transferred to the new user or team

For more details, you can refer to the below link:

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

If you are preparing for the interview then please check below blog for more interview questions and answers.

Difference between assign and share is Assign will change Owner of the record. However Share you are not changing owner of the record but giving permission to user to perform specified operation on your record.

    Hi skumar2020,

Two tables for all versions of Dynamics CRM up until CRM 2011. One table for all newer versions of Dynamics CRM and Dynamics 365.

This article explains assigning and sharing rows.
