Showing Resources that are enable for scheduling on App map

Hi all,

Trying to have the option in the Resco App to show Resources (users) positions on the Map. Similar to the way they show on schedule board.

Not sure if it needs the gps entity or similar to access the latest lat and long.

Any ideas where to start?

I have the same question (0)

Did you look at the Woodford guide and the Webinar ?

Not really I know how to add a view to the map to have those records display on the map.

The issue is how to access the entity that stores the coordinates for resources that the schedule board map uses.

I could like write some code to poll resources and get coordinates updating to custom fields however this seems silly since the coordinates are already being retrieved by the system.

Never tried it, but my idea would be: Create a flow/workflow that upun creation of a Mobile Audit record writes lat/long and time into custom fields on the resource record. Then sync resources down to the app and display the resources on the map based on the above documentation.

Thanks Alexander, that's a better work around than what I was considering.

I will leave this as unanswered for now as I hope there is a cleaner way to achieve this but will update this once I try it.

A lot of this is poorly documented or not documented at all. I may try and find some Glympse information if I can and see if that has any clues.

Just keep in mind that Glympse requires an additional license while the above comes for free with Field Service.

I decided to use the User entity so simple in the end thanks to Alexander.

Create workflow on Mobile Audit entity create

Update Address 2 Lat and Long fields on User entity.

In Resco Woodford create new User View.

In view "Select Fields" ad choose Address 2 Lat and Long fields.

Go to global map and add new view entity Users and the view created.

    Save and Publish.

As new audit records create that include coordinates it updates the User lat and long and shows on the map in the App.
