Problem with removing permission set type Extension on users

Hello,

We have a problem with removing permission sets that are type Extension.

We have users who have to manage permission sets on other users. We have assigned the SECURITY permission set to this users, because they do not have the permission set SUPER assigned to them.

A user that has the SECURITY permission set can assign or remove any permission set that is also assigned to their account. This is true for types of permission set System and User-defined, but a user can not remove a permission set type Extension on another user - he can assign it, but when he tries to remove it the following error occurs: "You don't have rights to manage the "EXTENDED PROJECTS" permission set on users. The SECURITY permission set only grants you rights to manage those permission sets that are also assigned to your account." This permission set (EXTENDED PROJECTS) is assigned to the user, and he can assign it to another user, but the problem is removing it from another user.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

The version we are using is W1 17.1.

    Please raise this issue to Microsoft support via your partner or CSP so we can look into it. I think it is a valid question.

    Thank you very much for this suggestion.

    I tried recording and assigned this recorded permission set to this user, but I still have the same error message:

    You don't have rights to manage the "EXTENDED PROJECTS" permission set on users. The SECURITY permission set only grants you rights to manage those permission sets that are also assigned to your account.

    Hi, I think it is still caused by insufficient permissions. You can try to use the Record Permissions feature below to record the permissions required for modification by Super User, and then assign this permission set to this user.

    Thank you for your response.

    I have read the article and everything is clear. But I still can't delete permission sets that are type "Extension" if I don't have the SUPER permission set assigned. This article says if I add the SECURITY permission set I will be able to add or remove permission sets that are assigned to me.

    This is from the article for permission set SECURITY:

    Manage the permission sets that are assigned to your account. When assigned this permission set, you can:

    - Create new users and assign them any permission set that is also assigned to your account.

    - Remove a permission set from a user as long as the permission set is also assigned to your account.

    This is true but not for permission sets that are type "Extension", I can not remove permission sets that are type "Extension" (I can only add them to another user).
