How I can make security for Post control in General Journal and AP (Invoice & Payment)

Hi all,

I'm tried to add security role per employee for accountant , but I need to remove the Post control from accountant standard role, in General journal in general ledger module, and invoice journal, payment journal in account payable module.

Hi,

What do you mean by post control in accountant standard role?

Did you mean you already have posting restriction by user?

If so, you can easily untick the restriction from - General ledger- journal names- posting restriction

There is Accountant role standard provided by MS Dynamics365, I need to customize it as client requirement, to remove post button from creator (accountant).

the posting restriction give ability to creator for make post after WF completed, I need to give the Financial manager the post button

Hi,

You can customize the role by adding and removing permission, or its best practice to mirror the standard role in new role and customize.

Hi,

For GL, please check the privilege of Post general journal entries.

For payment, please check the privilege of Post vendor payment journal transactions.

For invoice journal, check the privilege of Post vendor invoice journal transactions.

Hi All:

I have customized privilege of Post general journal entries and succeeded in disappearing the sub-menu 'Post' and 'Post and transfer' in General journals.

But how to disappear the parent-menu 'Post' ? I failed to find out the menu items or another privilege for setting up the parent-menu 'Post' .
