Copy and Paste Quote lines - Dynamics 365 Sales

Hi All,

Is there any way possible to copy and paste multiple rows of quote lines in a single quote, i deal with blocks of the same part codes in which 100+ lines could be made so much easier.
if not currently accessible is it something MS have planned for a future release?

Many thanks

No, Dynamics 365 Sales does not support native copy-paste of multiple quote lines within the same quote.

      Excel Export/Import via Data Management:
    • Export quote lines, duplicate rows in Excel, re-import with adjustments.
    • Time-consuming, not user-friendly for frequent use.
Custom PCF Control / Power App Component:
    • Build a grid with copy-paste or multi-line duplication functionality.
    • Requires development effort.
      Use Power Automate / Plugin:
    • Trigger-based duplication logic — e.g., "Clone from selected quote line N times."
      3rd-Party Add-ons:
    • Tools like Inogic Product Clone, Maplytics, or XRMToolBox Add-ins may support bulk operations.

Depending on how often you are doing the same chunks of lines, you can probably find a way to try and automate this.

    • Option 1: do an import via excel of the quote lines you are wanting to create which gives you a bit of flexibility in excel
    • Option 2: Create a cloud flow or other plugin that you can trigger to add in the quote lines
    • Option 3: Create a custom "Template" record that you can select and apply to your quote, where you can define a whole bunch of lines to have copied into your quote.

Option 3 would work best if you have some standard types of quotes that you build, and where you can define lines ahead of time. Otherwise, opening the quote lines in something like excel online within CRM and importing the records might be your best bet.

A quick way to paste multiple lines of text. Use Alt + Shift + I to place the cursor at the beginning of each line (VS Code geometry vibes). Type > to turn everything into quotes.
If you want to combine multiple quote lines into a single quote line, copy the content and paste it into a single line, using > at the beginning of the single line.
