Enterprise Portal cannot find Custom View

Hi ,

I have created a custom view and added it to a dataset. I modified the GridView in enterprise portal using visual studio. Visual Studio doesn't show any error but when I open the page in Enterprise portal I get the following error

"The view that data bound control 'axGridViewCatalogItems' requested could not be found. Check that the DataMember property is valid."

It seems EP can't find my custom view.

Pls Help. Do I need to add my custom view somewhere or what should I do?

How did you add the View? Was is it Joined (Inner, Outer) or not?

Because if it's joined you have to use it as part of the root's DataSetView, leaving the DataMember property to the root datasource name and the bounded field is ViewName!FieldName.

    Hi,

No idea, but keep in mund the following.

The built-in Metadata Service does not deliver information on views. Don't know if this is relevant here.

    regards

    Douglas
