Restrict access to uploaded attachments in D365FO

Is it possible to restrict access to uploaded attachments on user or security role level?
 
People belonging to the same legal entity should in certain cases not be able to see all attachments, while having access to the same functionalities otherwise
I have the same question (0)

    The attachment access is given on the System User role. To restrict it. You might need to duplicate that role remove the privilege

    are the documents shared in sharepoint?  if so, i believe you need the appropriate permissions in the sharepoint library to view the files.
     
    if they’re not stored in sharepoint and are instead in azure, maybe consider moving them or changing your process so that all new documents are shared in sharepoint.
