How would you setup an alert in AX2012 R3 to send an email when a specific sku is received on a PO?

Hi guyhollands,
Creating alerts for transactional data, such as the receipt of a specific item/product might not be the best idea because you might receive a lot of alerts that might ultimately be ignored because there are too many of them.
Can you explain a bit why you need this kind of alert?
What is actually behind and what do you try to achieve?
