Hi:
Toward the end of an attempted upgrade of a company database for SP4 for GP 2010, I get an error on the SVC_Create_iv_serial stored procedure mentioning something along the lines of the number of columns not matching the table definition.
How do I fix this?
Thanks!

This is often an indication that one or more of the modules is running an older version - it was not updated the last time. Best to look at the DUINSTALL file - since this is GP2010 I am not sure of the location - it should be some where on the drive on which the Dynamics code is installed. If there is nothing in that file - look for the DEXSQL file - again should be in the same location - it is a text file.
Post more details if possible. Hope this might help.
Hi Bill:
Thank you, for the quick response!
DUINSTALL is not saying anything relevant, and the dessql.log simply says that it is not able to create the SVC_Create_iv_serial stored procedure based on the error message shown below.
Any ideas?
This type of error usually means that the stored procedure being created is not expecting table columns that the table has, that it is referencing, thus it throws this type of error.
It is actually the dexsql.log that will show you the actual script that is failing, causing this error.
If you don't have the log, enable it in the Dex.ini and re-launch GP Utilities and re-create this error. When the error shows, you'll then want to look at the log and for this error.
Thanks
