Hi,
We have the requirement to apply digital signature to invoices generated from D365 F&O. Currently, we download the PDF invoices and then use Adobe Acrobat to apply the signatures. These are not electronic signatures, these are digital signature, come on a USB key and are issued by a 3rd party.
Is there a way to streamline this process.

Cant this be done by custom layout in report ?
It is not a question of layout. The digital signature has to be applied from Adobe or another application while the USB key is attached to the PC/laptop.

I don't think there would be a way to do this in D365 F&O. The big roadblock is that the USB key needs to physically be plugged in. As D365 is cloud hosted, that would not be possible. It sounds like the method you are using now is your best option.

There are third party output management solutions which would be able to add the digital signature. You can have a look at vendors as e.g. Dox42 and Lasernet. These solutions also have integrations with Dynamics 365.
Andre is right, our one of the customer uses lasernet and this is possible,

Just wondering in which country/region one still requires digital signatures.
Many governments already gave up with the digital signature approach and accept all kind of invoices that cannot be altered.
As an example - in most EU countries - PDF invoices without digital signatures are fully sufficient.
For which country/region do you still need this?

We are in India and it a requirement of some customers based in India. It is also a requirement under the Indian GST system (same as VAT in Europe) if the invoices cannot be physically signed.

You can add a digital signature into the PDF file in a fast, secure and efficient way using "Digital Signer". software.
