Electronic Reporting Error: Path has no binding to any datasource in using model's mapping (Postal Address and Custom Fields on Vendor Bank Account Table)

Posted on by 132

I am encountering this issue after attempting to bind the state (ctrysubdvsn) xml tag to a data model/data source: Path '$PaymentByDebtor/lines/CreditorAgent/Address/State' has no binding to any datasource in using model's mapping. I have derived payment model mapping 1611. What am I missing?

    Hi Navanah01,

    This error appears because there is no mapping provided by standard from fields in the system to fields in terms of GER model mapping. To fix this, create a derived copy of model mapping 'Payment model mapping 1611' and provide binding of the adjusted formula for the state node element, and then complete the version.

    Kindly note that the 'State' element from 'Payment model mapping 1611' - 'data model' section can be found under Payments > Creditor > PostalAddress > State:String. While on 'data source', the State element is just under '$notSentTransactions'>'$vendTable'>'$PostalAddress'. Another option will be to simply add the formula below within 'State' element from 'data model' on your derived  'Payment model mapping 1611':

    '$notSentTransactions'.'$vendTable'.'postalAddress()'.State

    Ludwig,

    Thank you for the prompt response! I am currently having difficulty finding the equivalent/correct xml data source to link to the desired data model (Creditor Agent > Postal Address > State). Do you have any suggestions on which Data source node is being used for Creditor Agent State, or in other words, Vendor Bank Account (postal address) state? Which data source node would lead me directly to each line's respective bank account table? I have added custom fields that need to be mapped to Intermediary Agent 1 and Intermediary Agent 2.

    Hi navanah01,

    You have to take a look at the model and check whether the state is linked to a field in D365FO.

    This does not seem to be the case.

    So, fix the model and map the state to a field to one of the datasources available in the model.

    Once that is done, run the report again.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
