ReportReport
Posted on by

hi everyone.

i'm supposed to install the ax reporting extension with visual studio 2008.

i have a manual to create the reporting services in the server but it does not come clear (or i'm missing that part) how to access it from a client computer, one of my partners had it installed a time ago by someone who isn't here anymore and he is not quite sure what this person did.

the partner i'm talking about has in his visual studio the "business intelligence project" option available on his visual studio when he creates a new proyect. but i can't see this option though we have the same visual and I've already installed the net framework and the utilities in ax that he has, so... my (kinda obvious) guess is that a have to make some modification or connection between ax and visual studio but I can't find anything related to. does anyone have any documentation about how to make this connection?

i hope i made myself clear, if you need any extra information please let me know

It is hard to remember Axpata 2009 version.

Have you installed the BIDS already..?

i'm not shure what bids are, i've intalled the ax complements  "reports tools" and .net business Connector" which are the same that my partner has installed, at least in ax. i don't know if i need something else intalled in sql server or visual studio.

hi sohaib, thanks for your reply it put me to the right path, the bids was indeed the problem here. the sql server i had didn't support them.
