Replicating the DocuView form

Hello all,

I have been given a request by one of our customers to add an extra column to the DocuView form that is linked to the TvrExpTable form.

From what I understand the DocuView form is one that is used by quite a lot by other operations within AX. As I don't want to mess around with the main one, I have duplicated the form and duplicated it's display menu item (renamed it and directed it to the duplicated form). That all works fine, however, when the new form is open, the grid is completely empty. I have double checked that the data source being pulled through is correct (compared to the original form). I have spent the last 2 days debugging it and I just can't see what is going on.

Has anyone ever duplicated the DocuView form successfully or know how to get a duplicate of it working?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Update: I meant to add that the correct security privileges have also been added.

Thanks for the quick response.

You've given me an idea on how I can do this with minimum alterations to the form. I'll have a go and see how it turns out.
