Limit description field on emails

Hello,

I'm searching for a way to limit the amount of characters on the email entity 'Description' field. This is the body of the email and has a max length of 1073741823, but the actual content of the email is usually not bigger than 5000, and the rest is most of the times just the copies of the forwards and replies of the email thread. I'd like to limit thisa field to 5000 to save storage space, as this is actually consuming half of the size of the activitypointer base. Any ideas or previous experiences to do this?
