Problem after creating a new legal entity

We created a new legal entity on our DEV box last year for testing. We are finding some issues posting and narrowed it down to the link between GENERALJOURNALACCOUNTENTRY and SUBLEDGERJOURNALACCOUNTENTRY tables. In SUBLEDGERJOURNALACCOUNTENTRY table, the GENERALJOURNALACCOUNTENTRY field is 0 for all entries after creation and affecting all entities. I checked our other instances (with no new legal entity) and there are no 0's whatsoever. Any ideas?

    Hi,

    Can you share the error itself you encounter? What proces weren't you able to post? If you have a value 0 it could be related to missing or wrong setup.

    Check if you have valid and active account structures.

    Just naming two table names and a 0 is not clear to me.

    sorry... there is no thrown error. we are trying to receive and/or invoice a non-inventory PO. it appears to post with no errors but when we click on the PO afterwards, choose the product receipt journal or invoice journal, then voucher, the grid is empty and also does not show in the GL.

    Hi,

    Can you check if there are records in the form 'Subledger entries not yet transferred'? You can open this form in General Ledger, Inquiries.

    If there are records, the batch for processing subledger journals is not running and can cause the situation you described. You can eventually change a General ledger parameter to post these transactions synchronous or asynchronous.

    PLease check and update if this is not the cause.

    Hi.. no they do not show up there. The setups are already synchronous. When we created the new entity we used another already working entity to cross match. We currently have 5 legal entities and currently non inventory PO transactions have stopped working for all entites since creation of the new one.

    Hi,

    What do you mean with "used another already working entity to cross match". Did you copy the setup?

    Non inventory PO transactions have stopped working for all companies? Is it only related to non inventory PO? So stocked items are posted correctly?

    We used another legal entites setups as a guide when creating the new one. Yes, inventory POs seem to post.

    HI,

    Can you check the Inventory model groups? Are the fields Post physical inventory and Post financial inventory enabled or not? Could be different setup per model group.

    We have 6 item models and all of them have those 2 settings enabled.

    Well... no errors, settlings seems to be ok. worked before.... Must be something which will be very difficult without having detailed insights in your environment. Do you have a partner which can help you?
