Hi All
Customer is BC14 OnPrem.
They have users on site using service tier A (Windows Auth) and users out of the office using service tier B (O365 Auth).
User on tier B sends an approval request. Notification Setup are instant, a record is added to the Job Queue and sent from service B to the approver who uses service A. This users email has a URL built for service B and has to modify it every time.
My understanding is that BC builds the email using the settings in the service tier web setup area and there are no notification settings to specify recipient URL.
Solutions is was thinking of discussing with Customer...
1. Have all users move to one service tier. But the office users like Windows auth and not logging in using NAV client.
2. Schedule Notifications from from service A - but that is limiting as approvals need quick resolutions.
Has anyone worked around this before? Am I missing a setting?
Thanks in advance
Ben
Hello,
You can adjust all users with an Office 365 mail on their user page. One of their NST instances should point to one configured with AccessControlService authentication type.
Users that are working in the Office can continue using Windows authentication for Win/Web Client. If these users receive an approval request, they are pointed to the WebClient instance via the url that can only be reached via Azure AD authentication.
I think this can work but it is better to have them move to modern authentication. If they are being upgraded to later release that does not support Windows authentication, then this is a blocker.
Thanks.
