Power BI report not being published to PowerBI.com successfully

Hi everyone

I've implemented a Power BI report based on D365F aggregate entities that are deployed to AxDW. The report works successfully - no problem.

However, when I upload it to LCS, and try to deploy it from a D365F environment to PowerBI.com, I get a strange error:

"Datasource unreachable. There is no gateway to access the datasource axdw".

I shouldn't need a gateway deploying these from D365f.

I've also deployed other reports from this environment in the same way, and they're fine.

I've gone through all the queries, and looked for faulty datasources, there aren't any. I've checked the datasources themselves in Power BI desktop, and they're fine.

Any help appreciated.

Tx

    Good morning BrandonSA,

I don't think that this is a problem specially related to D365FO.

Have you already checked the PowerBI community forum?

I found some threads that look related.

    See e.g.:

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig

    Thanks for the reply.

I have seen those links, thanks. I've kept this a D365F issue because I still think it may be related. I don't need gateways. These reports are built on tables in AxDW.

I've done a bit more digging. All tables are using DirectQuery. The tables that are failing and causing this issue are those using native database queries. They only fail on this report. I've also checked the queries, they all look fine as far as I can see.

    Hello BrandonSA,

    I see.

In this case the fastest option might be contacting the MS support.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
