    Hi tamnguyen,

The fixed asset additions do not affect acquisition price and net book value directly. If you want to track repair and maintenance e.g. due to a large repair you can do that via the Project module, collect the costs there and then Transfer them to your existing fixed asset if you want. The fixed asset addtions is something that you would Need to fill manually. Hope this helps,

    Ludwig

    hi Ludwig,

thank you for your answer. But i have a question. Do the fixed asset addition use to view information, not to record transaction for fixed asset?

i want to track repair fixed asset costs that are not the large repair. do you have any ways to link transactions that collect the cost ( not large) to fixed asset?

Hi, the fixed asset additions form is something "manual\semi-finished". There is no automatic link from transactions. Please see: technet.microsoft.com/.../hh227527.aspx

You can thus either work with the project module to get a full integration to changes caused by repairs or alike. Alternatively enter changes manually in the fixed asset additions form or implement a system modification.

    Hope this helps,

    Ludwig

    Dear Ludwig Reinhard

I want to track the maintenance of fixed assets, but I do not know how to do it in Dynamics 365.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/fa-how-maintain

it is not possible to choose the maintenance record action. Is it necessary for the maintenance of fixed assets?
