I have been trying to find the right redirect URI because i was running into the "redirect URI doesn't match the application reply URI". Just as I thought I was making progress, I got past it but ran into this error:
I'm stumped on what to do now. What is this error and how can I fix this?
Hi Es_Be,
Please try to run the sql "DELETE FROM POWERBICONFIG" in AXDB, and follow the DOC to reconfigure it step by step, any problems please let us know.
Hope this helps.
is your account in same tenant as that of D365FO subscription? if not then use one of the user with sys admin role in same tenant and suggest
Hi Rahul,
Thanks for responding. I'm the Sys Admin in F&O. I'm not sure if that answers your question. Also, just putting out the screenshots in case there's anything I'm missing here:
- "Directory (tenant) ID" from #1 = "Serial number" from #3
- "Application (client) ID" from #1 = "Application ID" from #2
Hi Will,
Thanks for answering. I'm going to have to read into this because I'm not a developer but the DOC link seems to make sense. It seems like though there are prerequisites that I may need to run by our IT team which may not sit well with them in regards to setting up any extra servers.
Thanks,
Sharjeel
Hi,
It's not clear which report show this error or on which environment, In D365FO we have 2 types of PowerBI repors
1- embedded reports that is need to be configured in Devbox as will mentioned in the document he refer to but if you are working on UAT or production no need for this.
2- power BI integration and this needs to configure some parameters in all environment PROD,UAT and Dev and as per the error I think it's related to second option so you need to follow this doc docs.microsoft.com/.../configure-power-bi-integration to register an azure application and you will add your environment URL with adding "OAUTH" word at the end as in the document notes and don't miss the permissions
Hi Ibrahim,
Thank you for identifying the two different types of PowerBI reports! This is my first time doing this and your response is a great start towards learning this. And yes - the issue I'm running into is related to the second option (in PRD).
Following are the screenshots from the documentation and the permissions you've indicated to consider. I started the process from scratch and I'm still seeing the error.
I appreciate the help!
Thanks
2 things you need to change here
1- in the Authentication screen you added two links 1 is for the login and 2nd is for the environment
you need to remove the login and leave only the environment
2-In D365fo> powerBi.com configuration you need to add the application secret not only the app ID only
you can get this secret key from certificates & secret tab and create new key and copy it (BTW: this key show for one time so you need to keep it in notepad or anything if you want to use it again in future)
Thanks a lot, Ibrahim. That worked!
