Active Item Price is blocked

Hello,

I have setup a costing version for std cost. Both block and block activation are set to no.  When I create pending price the block button is not marked. When I activate the price, the blocked box is marked.   Any ideas on why or how to get rid of? Can i fix after the fact?

Thanks,

Kellen

    Hi Kellen,

You can deblock the version or create a new version. It might have been blocked by a previous price activation or manually by a user.

    Hello Andre,

The version itself doesnt show as blocked as the issue. Its the active price is showing as blocked.  I am unable to just unmark the blocked check box on the active price.  I then try to create a new active price and before i do that the pending price shows as not block and same with the version, but as soon as I activate it is blocked again on the active price.  I tried creating new versions ( you can see 10 version and 10.1 version).

    Thanks,

    Kellen

    Hello Kellen,

To me the activation of the block parameter for active standard cost prices seems to be the standard behavior.

I see the same in my demo environment and cannot change/modify/manipulate active standard cost prices except by activating a new standard cost price.

Why is it that you want to take out this parameter?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply.  Im not really interested in editing an existing active price.  Im just interested in removing the blocking so it is actually "active" and can be used.  As I mentioned when I attempt to active a new price or version the same thing keeps happening, no matter what I have tried every active price is blocked. Ive been doing this a long time and never seen this so was wondering if anyone else has seen this.

    Thanks,

    Kellen

    Hello Kellen,

If you create for example an inventory adjustment journal and select the item that has a cost price of $2 setup do you see this cost price in the journal?

I do not think that the blocked parameter means that the price is blocked for usage.

Here is an example from my AX2012R3 demo machine.

Step 1: Activate new cost price of $77 as of 10 Nov (the previous one active was $50)

    0576.sc2.png

Result: you can see the newly activated cost price has the blocked parameter set.

    0576.sc2.png

Step 2: Create a new inventory adjustment journal with lines that refer to the 1st Nov (where the old price of $50 was active) and 10 Nov (where the price of $77 was active)

Result: The prices are selected as expected.

Is this different in you system environment, that is, does AX behave in a different way if you try replicating my example in your test/demo environment?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
