Hi,

I have a strange issue, where by one detail table has a value which 17.83 and there are altogether 13 records. I have a main table which has the sum of the above mentioned table, ideally the sum must show me 231.79, but it shows 231.82. Any idea? I tried keeping the Decimal Places to 2:2 in both the tables, still the same result, any idea?

so you could use the ROUND function within the OnValidate trigger of the field or when calculating to cut the value to 2 decimals.

Hi,

Yes, Jonathan, the value stored is 17.832 in the SQL table, but the value displayed in the NAV table is 17.83.

is 17.83 a calculated value? if yes, maybe internally the real value is bigger, e.g. 17.8323... that would explain the difference. in that case you'll need to use the round function for the base values to cut the decimals after position 3.
