Once an engineering change has been submitted and completed on the BOM level, is there a way to update current firm planned order to new relevant BOM without estimating and scheduling each affected fpo?

The BOM is disassociated when firm order is created. Don't see how to get this updated without updating BOM manually on Firmed order. Even re-estimation is going to look at Firmed order BOM updates and not BOM at FG level.

    Hi TK1,

If I had a changed BOM, I would definitely want to recalculate and reschedule my production orders. What is the reason for you to have a new BOM without knowing of you need other items or probably another route with new processing times?

reason - our manufacturing process to continuing to become more and more efficient and our takt continues to decrease across multiple BOM. as we are a small company with little man power we are looking for a solution to modifying and recalculating all production orders.

If the order is firmed and not started then you should be able to copy in a new BOM. but its not a mass update option..

The actual times taken  will be the same even if you don't update, so at worse you will end up with some favourable variances, or the same weighted average cost, and unless you have very long manufacturing  cycles, and the need to schedule far into the distance, then a delay on changing route time may not be critical. For material impacts  its another matter but usually not a last minute mass change.

The best advice I can give is to read this earlier thread which gives some options and explanations of what can be done depending on order status.
