Can't Send Direct Email

I have a client who select accounts, clicks on "Send Direct Email" button, selects a template and submits the email.

Unfortunately, the email does not get sent.

When he selects only one account at a time and send the email, it works. it does not work if he selects more than one account

I looked at the Email Message entity. there are no messages that show up at all. also there are no system jobs that show up.

I am at a loss in how to diagnose this. 

I would appreciate any help

    Hi There,
     
    My suggestion would be to check the email and bulk email columns on all the accounts you're selecting. Ensure they are set to allow.

    Thank you for the response. 
    checked that and all accounts are enabled for the contact preferences and still the same issue.
    Also checked Enable Direct mail via Mail merge and it is enabled. 
    Also checked Enable send Direct Email action in unified interface and it is enabled.
     
    All with no luck.
