Hi, seems you have customized VAT group name to GST group? But as Adis suggested, you can achieve this through personalization > Set the field to 'Required' > Save.

once you personalize the page after making required fields as mandatory, you can manage all your views here, (System administration > Setup > Personalization) which actually saves your view every time you login with your user as in If you publish your view there, in your example, you always can see 'GST group' field as mandatory when you login with your user.

Also if you wants to copy the same settings to another user, you can do that using 'Copy users' function as per below screen where the selected user can also see 'GST group' field as mandatory.

If this resolves your question, please mark the answers that helped you as verified.

    Hey,

You can try the following, since I dont have an Indian localisationI couldnt check it.

1.: Check the general ledger  and tax parameters

2.: The link describes how to set the sales tax and item sales tax as mandatory. Maybe there is also something for GST.

3.: Set up a view, for which the GST field is required and publish it. It can be overwritten by choosing the standard view, but it should do its work by preventing leaving this field empty by accident.

1 - personalize the columng GST
2 - set it to required
3 - save the view and publish it
4 - select roles for which the view is valid and the companies

4.: Customize the field by code

    Hope it helps.

    Kind regards, Adis
