Does FIFO Perpetual Method will effect the Inventory Transfer Entry?

Hi, I have Dynamics GP2016 R2 with FIFO PERPETUAL Valuation Method. One Item is purchased/received at different cost i.e. $10 and $15 and $20 respectively. Now we need to Transfer this item from Store to some department and when transferring it is picking $20 unit cost (last receiving cost and it is also its' current cost) every time. Although it was firstly purchased/received at cost of $10. If someone can please explain it? or if there is some utility to fix this scenerio.

Hello,

The transfer will show your current cost. When you post the transfer, it will determine which layer in inventory is the oldest layer, and remove that layer with posting. In this case, when you post your transfer it will transfer the $10 layer.
