Work order covering different locations?

Hi

Is it possible to have a single work order that has elements that cover different locations. The use case is to have a single work order with tasks to:

  1. Collect the car from the customer's home
  2. Do the servicing or repair work back at the workshop
  3. Return the car to the customer's home

Our investigations so far are that a work order is restricted to a single location.

Thanks in advance, Alex

We've now tested this out in detail and our observations are:

    • We are able to create a number of Bookings for a single Work Order at different times and to change the locations of the Bookings
    • For those Bookings that are at the client's address, the travel times are shown so travelling to the client
    • However, travel times for returning to the Organisational Unit is not shown in the Bookings
    • I haven't seen any occurances of the Booking being updated from the Work Order post scheduling, but haven't tested this extensively

Hi Alexander, scheduling would be manual. We'll test this further taking your reply into account.

    Many thanks!

Hi Alex, not sure if that is feasable, but when a work order has multiple resource requirements, only the first/primary one's lat/long is synced with the WO's lat/long. So you could have a WO with 3 RRs that have different locations. The question is how you want to schedule this work order (manual, Schedule Assistant/RSO)...
