Hi,
I have users in a site office running NAV over Terminal Services and in another office, users running NAV locally on their computers. The local users don't experience any issues but the Terminal Services users have an issue where certain print jobs go to their default printer rather than the printer set up within NAV.
Some main points:
- Terminal Server is MS Server 2008, NAV is running on SQL on a separate Server 2008 box,
- Two printers are installed on the TS server, a HP and a Konica Minolta. We are printing over TCP/IP directly to them. We can print from other applications on the TS server without issue.
- The two printers are configured within NAV to be printed directly to, depending on what the user wants to print.
- We have discovered that, if we drill down to the printer selection page within NAV, that NAV doesn't list the Konica Minolta printer. Nor does it list many of the printers that the users have installed on their local computers, despite these printers being accessible from other applications on the Terminal Services server.
The reason that the print jobs go to the default printer seems to be because NAV doesn't list the printer properly. Why would NAV not list some printers though? These printers are quite obviously available to the users from the printers folder and other applications, why can't NAV 'see' them?
Any help or tips with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
