Field Service Schedule Board Column Width Adjustment

Hi Everyone

Please could anyone help with the following issue? We're based in the UK, and we currently use Dynamics 365 to schedule jobs for our engineers. From 20/10/2025, the column width adjustment on the Schedule Board has changed from the option of zooming '0-100', to '1hr - 24 hr'. We use the 'Hourly' view and can now only see three working days on the screen, whereas before it was up to seven; and we currently display fourteen days at a time. Changing the amount of days displayed doesn't make a difference; neither does changing the 'Time resolution'. I've asked our support company and they don't know either. They sent me a screenshot of their schedule board and they still have the the '0-100' option. Is there any way to change it back to the normal zoom option?

    Hi,
same problem for me, we used to display 14 working days.
And with the latest update (13/10), I only see 2.5 working days.
No way to go back, I didn't find a parameter ...

On our testing environment, we are on the previous version, and we still have 0-100 option, and zoom out to display 14 days.

    Please Microsoft, go back !

The options are still there, they may just be a little hidden.

    1. Open the schedule board and click on the "Schedule Settings" option from the meatball (...) menu in the top right
    2. Scroll to the bottom and click on "All Board Settings"
    3. Go to "Other" and define your number of "Days Displayed in Hours View"
      1. Note: You can also choose to do the "Edit Defaults" to apply this change to all boards in your organization
Screenshots below from my demo org show what it looks like. Let me know if it works for you!

    Hi Tom

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately changing the 'number of days displayed' makes no difference. I changed it to 7, but only get 2.5 days displayed. It looks like the slider on the bottom of your schedule board is still the zoom option '0-100', so I'm not sure why this has changed for us:

    Hello Tom,

The requirement is to be able to view 7 or 10 days without scrolling, as was the case with the 0-100 zoom option instead of 0-24 hours.
Please, allow the user to zoom out to 10 days (or more) as it was in the previous version, even if each day is small
    Thanks,

    Stéphane

I think the best you will be able to do is a combination of a few things. With these settings, I'm able to see 8 1/2 days on the schedule board at once.

    • Update working time to show from 6AM - 7PM (in my scenario this covers the vast majority of resource schedules). If you could trim this down even more that would be better
    • Set Time Resolution to 1 Hour
    • In All Board Settings > Other > Number of days displayed in hours view > Set to 14 or so
    • Turn off the map and collapse the left side navigation menu
    • Kind of a cheat but monitor size and resolution makes a difference as well. I have an ultrawide, and if I expand my browser window to the full width I can see all 14 days.
At a certain point, I think it really comes down to your horizontal screen real estate. The board will only render items on the hourly board to a maximum time frame of 60-minute increments, and those increments need to be wide enough to show the two-digit hour in the column header.

    Hi Tom,

You're not working with the latest version of Field Service
In your version (which was my previous one), you can choose zoom from 0 to 100 : and you're right, I was able to display in my screen 10 days when you put zoom to 0 :

But in the latest version, Zoom has changed : you can choose from 1h up to 24h. With this new setting you cannot see more than 2.5 days ...

I use 2 environments : a test environment (which the previous version, I can still choose the zoom from 0 to 100), and a production environment (the zoom has changed 3 weeks ago, I cannont choose zoom from 0 to 100, but from 1h to 24h)

I hope you can help us !

What is your Field Service version number? I'm on 8.8.139.398 and I still see the 0-100 slider.

I did find this in the release notes for the Resource Scheduling Control version 1.2.94.252722 (Universal Resource Scheduling version history - Dynamics 365 Field Service | Microsoft Learn)

So it looks like this is an "improvement" to the slider. Short of finding a setting to set it back to the zoom level, I don't know if there is going to be much we can do. I might recommend adding something to the "Ideas" board or seeing if you have a partnership who can submit feedback to the Field Service product team to revert the change (or at least allow people to choose the toggle to use).

    Hi Tom

Thanks for your reply. I've submitted feedback as you've suggested, and I'll speak to our partnership company to see if they can do anything on their end

    Thanks for all your help

I'm seeing this occur on Field Service version 8.8.137.20 and Core Service Scheduling version 9.0.25093.2002
