Base on MIcrosoft Site, Phase2 of upgrade deployment is Nov, 2022. But its already Dec and its not GA yet.

Since I need to plan upgrade/migration, I have 2 questions;

1. When will be the Phase 2 upgrade deployment officially release?

2. What is the due date (for license) to upgrade from PSA to PO?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi MarlonQ,

    1. When will be the Phase 2 upgrade deployment officially release?

Is this it? As documentation said, Delivery timelines may change...

I would suggest you create one ticket for Microsoft Support, because they can contact product teams or documentation authors to get the latest news from Microsoft.

    Power Platform admin center (microsoft.com)

    2. What is the due date (for license) to upgrade from PSA to PO?

Microsoft has promised to support existing PSA users until October 2024, but will not be introducing new capabilities to PSA.

    Hi Lea,

Thank you for the quick reply.

Yes, Im already working on creating a ticket for Microsoft Support.

Its just its taking more time than expected (internal thing).

Also regarding PSA license due date, I also was able to find the link (dated Feb. 2020) that you shared

but I cannot find official MS announcement.

    Anyway, thank you again.

I will share my findings once I am able to talk with Microsoft.

    Best Regards,

    Marlon

It is important to understand the differences between PSA and Project Operations Lite Deployment to ensure a smooth transition.

Evaluate your current PSA deployment: Review your current PSA deployment to identify any customizations or configurations that may need to be migrated to Project Operations Lite Deployment. This may include data migration, such as customer and project data, as well as any custom fields, forms, or workflows.

Plan the upgrade: Create a project plan that outlines the steps involved in upgrading to Project Operations Lite Deployment. This should include a timeline, a list of tasks, and a list of resources required for the upgrade.

Configure Project Operations Lite Deployment: Configure Project Operations Lite Deployment to meet your business needs. This may include setting up project templates, resource pools, and financial controls.

Train your team: Provide training for your team on the new features and functionality of Project Operations Lite Deployment. This will help ensure a smooth transition and improve adoption.
