Hello everyone,
Is there any possible way to use barcode in sales or purchase order in HQ D365 Finance and operations? We want to allow our users to add product to order using barcode. It doesn't work right away as it is in POS app. We also didn't noticed barcode fiield to the order form, so we cannot even scan or type it to the field as for an example Item Number. Is it possible to achieve this? Or we will have to implement this solution on our own?
Yes, you have to implement a custom sales order form.
Hi Jakub,
You have to extend the existing sales order form to achieve what you want. There is already a barcode field that gets populated based on selected item. However that field is greyed out until item is selected manually and then get value from item barcode and then gets enabled.
Another option is to use advance query behind "all lines" form, you can add table/join, but won't be efficient at all.
Thanks,
Satish Panwar
