Data entity exported rows are 0

Hi,

I have created a custom data entity based on the ProjTable. I didn't add any new data sources or changed any joins. The view shows 0 records through SQL Server. However the table browser shows records for the ProjTable. I have checked the joins and all are outer joins.

The reason for my new custom data entity, is that I need to add the primary contact email for the worker selected as the Project Manager and Controller Role in the Project screen under Project Management and accounting.

The contact email field exist in the DirPerson which is a datasource in the datasources linked to ProjTable out of the box.

I am not sure what is missing in my case. I have build successfully and I have syncronize the build.

After deleting a couple of data sources, I was able to get few records, so I found out there was innerjoin on the DirPerson Table.

My problem now is getting the emails of the project manager and controller emails. The query is returning 0 as integer for this field. I am not sure if I am selecting the right field or updating it correctly in Dynamics.

    Hi Hossam,

All email addresses are stored in the table LogisticsElectronicAddress. The field you used is not a field in my standard application on the DirPerson table. Is this a customization? It might be a reference to a record ID of the LogisticsElectronicAddress table. But I don't know as this seems to be a custom field.

To get the records from the LogisticsElectronicAddress, you have to use a table between the DirPerson and the LogisticsElectronicAddress. The table DirPartyLocation is having the reference to the person (Party reference) and also to the electronic addresses (LocationId reference)

Instead of having all tables joined in your data entity, you can also consider using a Computed column (Microsoft Docs)
