In previous version of AX the session date could be displayed in the user interface.
Any ideas/experience on how to make it visible in D365?

    Hi Bjorn,

Apologies for a delay. I intended to share the customization earlier, but got ill for several days last week. Here is a link to my blog with a small demo video and link to download the above showed customization. dynamicspedia.com/.../

using the dashboard or gear symbol is quickest

could also create a control to display session date and timezone time

    Hi Bjorn,

Your question triggered something at my side. If you like the option below, I will shortly share the coding to achieve this in a blog.

It is a small customization to open a pane using the setup menu. You can then change and view the session date. You can keep the pane open while doing your data entry. Like mentioned above, a browser refresh will still reset the session date as it will open a whole new session.

    Hi Bjorn,

I can understand that you would like to have the session date visible if you are working on several forms. If you by accident hit 'F5' to refresh the form, then it will reload the application and also the session date will be lost. You can consider a small customization to show the date on certain important forms or as right-sided slider. Or even create a new menu item part of the System settings menu (configuration wheel) which will then show e.g. an info message with the current session date . How to interact with this menu or create a right sided slider? You can have a look at one of my GitHub projects where I used both options:

    Hi Bjorn,

"status bar" does not exist in D365FO because of the redesign of the UI and the move to a web browser.

    -

In D365FO , you can access this option in two ways:

1.Date selection on dashboard Calendar control.

2.Date/time selection in the Session date and time form.

    Hi Bjorn,

In D365 Finance , The default dashboard screen displays the session date.

If user changes the session date and time the above window will also update.

To check how to change the session date please refer:

    Thanks,
