Cannot close Active Quote as Lost

Hello,

I am having an issue where I am trying to close an Active Quote as closed lost. When I click ok at the end, nothing happens and the quote wont close as lost. Is there any requirements which I need on the quote to have this get closed?

    Hi Zylawy,

    Does this happen for only one record or for all active Quotes?

    If you turn on the browser developer tools, do you see any errors in the console?

    Also you can check the network tab of the dev tools - after you press the button to you see any request coming back with an HTTP 500 response?

    Additional things to check - any custom plug-ins / workflows / Javascript & business rules on the form - if you disable those, are you able to close the quote?

    Hope this helps as a starting point.

    Hi,

    Is there any error you are getting? Could you please check with different browsers. There should some error will popped up . Check your browser settings.

    If itso not work then you can install fiddler to check the browser request exactly which point the request stopped you to close quote.

    I also agreed with Radu suggestion , do all the step and let us know.

    This only happens when trying to close as lost, closing as won works as intended.

    This also happens in other browsers

    Where is this network tab in the dev tools?

    there is no error. you click ok the screen doesn't change, you click ok again and the box closes but nothing changes to the record.

    Hi , press f12 in Internet Explorer, you can find network tab over there.

    Hi,

    I was having the same exact problem and I found out the reason was that CRM was expecting me to provide the Description (or reason) why the quote is being closed in the dialogue window. Eventhough that field is not marked as mandatory, if I leave it blank, the quote does not close. If I fill that reason, it works fine.

    Hello Isa-Lizzy,

    Yes, Adding a description did solve the issue. I have also reached out to our Dynamics Partner who provided the following information.

    "the system is attempting to get the length of an undefined variable in the following script"

    Which in this case as no description was added, the value would be null.

    I have reached out to Microsoft and currently waiting for a response.

    Hi,

    Zylawy, yes, I've reached out to Microsoft too because I also found out that I can not create a Quote Revision by clicking on the Revise button. Just click it and nothing happens.

    Hope they give us an answer soon.
