Hi,

Could order line split automatically so that reservation can be fulfilled for full order,
in a case where ordered quantity can not meet initial reservation fully but later there is a plan for fulfillment.

Sincerely,

ABTS

That's the way AX works.   If you enter a sales order and you've only got a partial quantity on hand, reservation will split the related inventory transactions to show you some reserved, some ordered.

    Thank you Mr.Schofield,

Does the AX suggest alternative delivery date for initially unreserved order?

For example, if we are selling 4 tires in a set and 3 is available today where 1 will be delivered tomorrow and received order from client for a set.

There could be two cases customer may like to receive.

    1. Client needs full set, hence we need to wait till tomorrow for delivery

2.Client has on-hand stock, hence we can deliver 3 units today and 1 unit tomorrow

Could we set parameters in AX so that such different requirements are comprehended by AX and schedule delivery automatically?

    Sincerely,

    ABTS

    Hi,

You can use the delivery schedule functionality when you want to split a sales order, purchase order, or sales quotation order line into several order lines.

Each line will have their specific lot number for processing for delivery.

In delivery schedule form you can set date and quantity parameters and split order lines as you wish. You can read more about sales delivery schedule, for example, in the following link:
